MJ the chef

MJ had his first cooking experience at school today. With Billy and Renee's help the end result was a delicious sultana loaf.
MJ  was engaged  in the activity. He poured the sultanas from the packet to the cup, he put the salt from the spoon into the bowl.
MJ experimented with tasting something different, putting a touch of baking powder in his mouth, From the look on his face, it wasn't very nice.
With Debbie using hand over hand, MJ mixed the ingredients together.

Food tech....

Every Friday our little team of chefs get together to whip up some scrumptious recipes!
Last week, banana cake was on the menu.
Billy and Renee took turns to follow the recipe. They cut the butter, mashed the banana, frothed the milk, and mixed all the ingredients together. 
Renee loves chocolate chips so into the cake they went too!!
Billy and Renee showed what the Connected Learning star is all about by using team work and by fully participating in the activity.
Ths cake was YUM!!!! Even Constable Jono had a piece.

Tech time

Renee made a name plate for her room.She had to find the letters of her name and put them on the plaque.
She then decided which stickers she wanted.After being shown how to peel the backing off the stickers she then did this herself,placing them where she wanted them. She was very particular about making sure the stickers weren't over the edge of the wooden plaque.
Renee displayed the ability to choose and place stickers and to do this with some independence.
Renee enjoyed this activity and will hang it in her room at home.
