MJ Marvelous Marbles and the race to the finish.

MJ has had an interest in the marble run in the classroom, and today we brought it to M&M club.

With the quiet of the library and less background noise MJ focused  on all aspects of the marbles actions.

The marble run gives MJ lots of opportunities to refine his fine motor skills as he places the small marble at the start of the run. Problems also occurs when the marble track has a broken area. But Mj's focus allowed him to solve the issue and repair the track.

This activity has given MJ the opportunity to develop tracking as he focuses on the marbles movements, This will help MJ and his development in the area of reading and writing.

We can develop this activity further and allow more problem solving and tracking opportunities, using other objects and resources to create tracks.

BOUNCING!!!

This afternoon was all about Bouncing...bouncing on the tramp, bouncing on moonhoppers, bouncing balloons!
These activities took co-ordination and a bit of balance. Both MJ and Renee bounced up and down on the spot and tipped over a couple of times on the moonhoppers. MJ loves to bounce on the trampoline and is getting very clever with his"tricks". Renee used hand eye co-ordination to hit a balloon with a cardboard roll. She did really well and we had a game of balloon tennis. Mj loves to watch the movement of the balloons.

M and M Club

This is a club for our Special Kids at Toko School. It is a time that these children come to feel their best and grow together. We provide a safe haven to explore and satisfy the sensory needs of all these children. We encourage growth and positivity through the use of a variety of equipment and experiences.
